This exciting opening offers the experienced candidate the opportunity to join a critical function that operates across all product lines inside the Technology & Digital function of our client. You should have a proven track record in developing, implementing, and managing Product Lifecycle Management software solutions in a corporate environment. In this high-profile role, it is essential to have strong demonstrated business acumen, oral and written communication, stakeholder engagement, and process discipline.


Position Summary:

The mission of the PLM and R&D Tools team is to drive the digital transformation of the Technology & Digital function of our client by delivering a consistent Digital Thread Backbone in one unique PLM/ALM platform supporting the vision of Smart, Connected Products Architectures.

This team enables collaboration across the different areas of the company, linking all the enterprise functions during the product development process with specific tools that support different processes. Your will lead the implementation of a new integrated enterprise PLM solution starting from engineering core functions and will create the roadmap to extend the capabilities to include other enterprise functions gradually. To do this you will work closely with engineering teams, ICT and other relevant company functions.


Responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities:

o Lead global expert communities on main PLM functionalities (DMU, BOM, CAD, PDM, ALM, etc) to ensure best practices, lessons learned, enhancements and product backlogs are developed and updated in line with business requirements.

o Lead Product Owners team and keeping a constant cooperation and communication with ICT partners and software suppliers.

o Review and maintain mid- and long-term roadmap for PLM tools evolution according end user functionality requests, company strategy and technological roadmap.

o Ensure current tools run smoothly and product improvements are released according to backlog

o Drive and monitor the organizational change management process with all stakeholders to put in production all approved new releases (secure Awareness, Desire, Knowledge development, Ability and Reinforcement of all PLM and ALM users)

o Lead the New PLM program to transition from current tool landscape (fragmentated) to an integrated enterprise PLM solution.

o Ensure the agile management system of PLM tools evolution constant delivery of value to our internal customers in a fast and flexible way.

o Define track an update KPIs for PLM tools to measure level of service, value delivered to internal customers and company benefit (Monitor & Reporting)

o Define and update yearly budget as well as and 5-year strategic bdgt with the support of ICT teams.

o With the support of ICT partners, develop the specifications for new or improved tools and the expected cost/benefits of the change.

o Present PLM Tools improvement for approval at decision boards

o Perform and organize user acceptance tests on new enhancements or tools.

o Develop training and support documentation on PLM Tools.

o Facilitate and provide PLM roadmap reviews to key stakeholders and C-Suite executives

o Help to develop business cases for new technologies, business opportunities and new investment areas.

o Work closely with R&D Process Manager to ensure that processes and tools evolution walk on a common path.

o Lead main ALM functionalities (Application Lifecycle Management) to cover the entire SW development lifecycle from Requirements to End-of-Line and Over-the-Air Update.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 10+ years’ experience in ALM/PLM
  • Proven experience on Agile project management
  • Knowledge of product development processes and related commercial tools
  • Good knowledge of Systems Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Experience on Automotive Industry, Transportation or Capital Goods industry
  • Total Combined Experience: 15+ years
